From the U.S., to China, to nations as small as Nepal and Bulgaria, financial institutions are under attack from hackers who may have already collected $1 billion in stolen funds. Using ‘spear phishing’ tactics, the “multinational gang of cybercriminals” infiltrated the digital security of several banks to manipulate ATMs and retrieve security footage detailing bank employees’ every move.
